Kia ora, I’m Alex—the owner of DesignHub in Papamoa.
After more than 20 years in the signwriting and design industry, I’ve learned that great signage isn’t just about standing out—it’s about helping businesses tell their story.
What started as a small workshop at home in 2019 has grown into a fully equipped signage studio here in Papamoa. Along the way, we’ve had the privilege of working with amazing local businesses and, in 2025, were proud to win Gold and Bronze Medals at the NZ Sign & Display Awards—recognition of the creativity and craft that goes into every project.
Whether it’s a bold vehicle wrap, striking wall art, or signage for your business, our focus is always the same: high-quality design, professional workmanship, and friendly service.
When I’m not in the workshop or hanging with the family you'll probably find me surfing, fishing or tearing it up on the mountain bike!
EQUIPMENT
In November 2021 we upgraded to the latest Mimaki JV100 wide format eco-solvent digital printer. DesignHub were proudly the first company in New Zealand to own and operate this latest signage specific machine. We run an 8 colour ink system offering our customers an incredible colour gamut and exceptional digital printing output quality.
Paired with our wide format laminator, plotter and design specific computer software we run state of the art equipment to meet the ever increasing pace of the industry.
